Abstract
dc:description.abstractHepatic lipid metabolism plays a major role in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and atherosclerosis. The primary goal of this work was to delineate the role of the hepatic cholesterol-esterifying enzyme acyl-CoA:cholesterol acyltransferase 2 (ACAT2) in cholesterol balance and triglyceride metabolism.
