Study of Mutations and Expression of Genes Correlated to the Appearance of Colorectal Cancer /// Проучване на мутации и експресия на гени, корелиращи с изявата на колоректален карцином
Abstract
dc:descriptionThe aim of the current study was to analyse the mutational profile of RAS oncogene correlated to the expression levels of genes related to energy metabolism, hypoxia and genomic stability, as well as the expression levels of microRNAs and their role in regulating the previously mentioned signalling pathways in colorectal tumours. Tasks: • Analysis of the RAS oncogene mutational status and profile of patients’ colorectal cancer tumours. • Analysis of the expression levels of SIRT6, FOXO4 and HIF3A genes of all patients’ tumours compared to healthy colon tissue and correlation to RAS mutational status and according to patient staging. • Correlation between the expression of SIRT6, FOXO4 and HIF3A genes in all patients’ tumours, according to RAS mutation status and patient staging. • Analysis of the expression levels of miR-143, miR-200c, miR-101, miR-34b and miR-375 microRNAs of all CRC patients compared to healthy colon tissue and correlation to RAS mutational status and according to patient staging. • Correlation between SIRT6, FOXO4, HIF3A genes and miR-143, miR-200c, miR-101, miR-34b and miR-375 microRNAs in CRC patients, according to RAS mutational status and patient staging.
