Altered Fuel Supply and Utilization in the Hypothalamus Following Recurrent Hypoglycemia

These findings indicate that local substrate concentrations in the VMH are altered by RH and are affected by glycogen availability and noradrenergic activity. The changes in local energy supply contribute to the impaired CRR seen in RH, supporting a role for altered metabolism in HAAF.
