The Development of Novel Non -Steroidal Subtype Selective Ligands for the Estrogen Receptor
Abstract
dc:descriptionA series of furan analogs were prepared bearing basic side-chains in the hope to impart anti-estrogenic activity to this class of ligands. The basic side-chain furan analogs were also ER-alpha binding selective ligands (2--47 fold selectivity) and transcriptional assays have shown one particular member of this series (Chapter 5, 17b) to be an ER-alpha selective antagonist (∼10 fold selectivity).
