Group Friendship Activities to Promote Peer Interactions of Children With Developmental Delays From Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Families

Following the implementation of group friendship activities, the three target children demonstrated increases in peer interactions which were maintained for three weeks following the completion of the group friendship activities. In addition, teachers' feedback about group friendship activities focused on ease of implementation and the benefits to both target children and their peers. Teachers reported that children enjoyed the positive affectionate behaviors with games and songs. Future research directions and implications for implementing culturally sensitive interventions for children with developmental delays from CLDF are discussed.
