Rhizoctonia disease of soybeans and its potential biological control by Bacillus megaterium
Abstract
dc:descriptionThree intraspecific groups (ISGs), ISG-2A, 2B, and 2C, of Rhizoctonia solani were proposed for 14 isolates of anastomosis group (AG) 2 based on isozyme analysis. These ISGs were fixed for deferent genotypes at aco locus and seemed to reflect genetic affinities. A highly virulent field isolate, 65L-2, was obtained and characterized as a member of AG-2-2 and ISG-2C. This isolate was deposited at The American Type Culture Collection as ATCC 66489.
