Bovine acute mastitis: Effect of sodium salicylate on inflammation
Abstract
dc:descriptionExperiment 1, 8 cows, was designed to evaluate the effect of sodium salicylate on acute inflammatory responses by means of milk indicators of mastitis, somatic cell count and milk serum albumin, an inflammatory mediator (prostaglandin F\sb{2α}), quarter milk yield, and clinical responses, gross udder inflammation, body temperature and appetite change.
