Abstract
dc:description.abstractEducators were asked to agree or disagree with 40 statements on grading practices and on the usefulness of grades. The results of teachers and administrators, of males and females, of beginning and experienced educators, of elementary and secondary educators, and of older and younger educators were compared for each survey item. Responses at variance with the implications of a "rigorous" view of grading were identified.
