ΔΙΕΡΕΥΝΗΣΗ ΤΗΣ ΑΞΙΟΠΙΣΤΙΑΣ ΙΣΟΔΥΝΑΜΩΝ ΠΛΑΙΣΙΑΚΩΝ ΠΡΟΣΟΜΟΙΩΜΑΤΩΝ ΓΙΑ ΠΥΡΗΝΕΣ ΠΟΛΥΟΡΟΦΩΝ ΚΤΙΡΙΩΝ ΥΠΟ ΟΡΙΖΟΝΤΙΑ ΦΟΡΤΙΣΗ
Abstract
dc:descriptionIN AN EFFORT TO FIND ALL THE WEAK POINTS OF THE EQUIVALENT FRAME METHOD A DETAILED COMPARISON OF CHARACTERISTIC PARAMETERS SUCH AS DISPLACEMENTS, ROTATIONS, FORCES AND STRESSES WITH RESULTS OBTAINED USING MORE ACCURATE ANALYTICAL METHODS(SURFACE FINITE ELEMENTS AND CONTINUOUS MODEL OF VLASSOV) HAS BEEN MADE. THUS,IN THE FIRST STAGE THOROUGH INVESTIGATION IS MADE IN ORDER TO CHECK THE RELIABILITY OF THE VARIOUS FRAME MODELS FOR ISOLATED CORES OF DIFFERENT TYPES (OPEN, SEMI-OPEN CORES WITH LINTEL BEAMS, CLOSED SECTION CORES WITH SINGLE OR MULTI-COMPARTMENT) OF QUASI-STATIC SEISMIC LOADING (SYMMETRIC, PURE TORSIONAL AND ECCENTRIC). IN THE SECOND STAGE, A MIXED SPACE STRUCTURE IS INVESTIGATED WITH AN ECCENTRICALLY LOCATED MULTI-COMPARTMENT CORE UNDER HORIZONTAL LOADING. IN THIS CASE, THE OVERALL BEHAVIOUR OF THE STRUCTURE RESULTING FROM THE FRAME SIMULATION OF THE CORE IS STUDIED AND COMPARISONS ARE MADE BETWEEN THE SEVERAL ALTERNATIVE MODELS REGARDING THE DISPLACEMENTS AND FORCES OF THE MEMBERS OF THE COMPLEX STRUCTURE. IN BOTH STAGES OF THIS STUDY, SEVERAL ALTERNATIVES OF THE MODEL OF EQUIVALENT FRAME ARE USED CONCERNING TYPICAL POSITIONS OF THE EQUIVALENT COLUMNS AND TYPICAL CHOICES OF ELASTIC PROPERTIES OF THEIR MEMBERS. ALSO, FINITE ELEMENT SOLUTIONS USING MEMBRANE, PLATE OR SHELL ELEMENTS AS WELL AS SOLUTIONS USING THE METHOD OF CONTINUOUS MODEL OF VLASSOV ARE COMPARED WITH THE EQUIVALENT FRMA RESULTS.
