A importância da participação da família na educação infantil

This paper seeks to verify the importance of family participation in the teaching-learning process in early childhood education. The family that presents itself in society as an initial basis for the informal education of children should, in partnership with the school, contribute to the formal education being built benefiting the full development of the students. As a methodology, bibliographical research was carried out in articles, monographs, books and websites, where authors such as (DESSEN; POLONIA, 2007); (CHALITA, 2009); (FREIRE, 2009), among others, have contributed to enrich knowledge about the subject. The results show that parents and teachers are closer to understanding what participation is, and that there is little left for this partnership to happen.
