Impactos Socioeconômicos da Legalização do Plantio Cultivo da Maconha no Brasil
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis undergraduate thesis proposes itself to introduce the reader, in a clear way, to a topic that has been increasingly discussed by several sectors of society, one that has been gaining strength in recent times: the possibility of making marijuana something legal in Brazil. Cannabis, the scientific name of the genus of plants popularly known as marijuana, offers enormous economic potential as it can be used for medicinal purposes, as well as raw material for manufacturing a vast range of products. Despite all its multifunctionality, its consumption and cultivation are still prohibited by Brazilian legal system. This research aims to verify the socioeconomic impacts of the legalization of cannabis cultivation in Brazil, highlighting possible benefits and harms that an eventual regulation could bring. The method used for bibliographic production was exploratory, descriptive and qualitative, using Google Scholar and Science Direct as search engines. The result of this research shows that given the constant development in new practical applications of Cannabis, it is necessary to draw up a regulation policy in order to allow the exploration of all the potential the plant has to offer.
