Potenciais propagantes no músculo oblíquo interno por eletromiografia de superfície de alta densidade
Abstract
dc:description.abstractSurface electromyography is a technique for capturing the electrical activity of the superficial muscles, but the potential of this technique in the capture of myoelectric signals of deep muscles has not been fully explored. High-density surface electromyography (HDEMG) allows the identification of potential propagators of a muscle with fibers parallel to the skin surface and was used in the present study to identify potential propagators in the internal oblique muscle, deep to the external oblique, with Matrix of 64 electrodes. A method for processing the EMG signals was proposed to estimate the direction of the action potentials of the motor units of the internal oblique muscle. The results showed that it was possible to identify propagating action potentials in the direction of the fibers in agreement with the architecture of the internal oblique muscle and to estimate the orientation of these fibers, in approximately 53 °. It’s concluded that the proposed method was able to detect potential propagators in the internal oblique deep muscle with the HD-EMG technique and can be used in studies of the action of this muscle in different motor tasks.
