Um desacoplamento canônico para sistemas lineares multivariáveis

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

Presented a new method for the decoupling of multivariable, time-invariant, linear systems. The method utilizes the Invariant Factors and the Rational Canonical Form of a matrix. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the input-state-output decoupling of the system. System controllability and observability are studied in this framework. Although the decoupling scheme is developed for continuous control systems, it is also valid for discrete-time linear systems. A Fortran computer program is presented which calculates the invariant factors of a matrix, the similarity transformation that maps a matrix to the rational canonical form, and determines whether the system can be decoupled.
