Abstract
dc:descriptionIn this work various beta-hydroxysulfoximines was synthesized. We proved their catalytic applicability in asymmetric phenyl transfer reactions onto aldehydes. Enantiomerically enriched diarylmethanols have been prepared by catalyzed asymmetric phenyl transfer reactions onto aromatic aldehydes with use of readily available beta-hydroxysulfoximines as catalysts. As the aryl source, combinations of diethylzinc with either diphenylzinc has been applied. Furthermore, we have developed a copper-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction for the synthesis of N-arylated sulfoximines leading to products in excellent yields. The synthesis of novel oxazolinyl sulfoximines is described and we have demonstrated their applicability as ligands in copper-catalyzed enantioselective Mukaiyama-type aldol reactions of alpha-ketoesters and enol silyl ethers. Oxazolinyl sulfoximines have also been used as ligands in copper-catalyzed enantioselective Henry-reaction of 4-nitrobenzaldehyde and nitromethane.
