FLUORESCENCE SPECTROSCOPY AND PRE-STEADY STATE KINETIC STUDIES ON E. COLI METHIONYL TRANSFER RNA SYNTHETASE
Abstract
dc:description.abstractOur goal is to elucidate long range intramolecular signaling mechanisms in Escherichia coli methionyl tRNA synthetase (MetRS). In this thesis we utilize fluorescence spectroscopy and pre-steady state kinetics to unveil some features of MetRS catalysis that were previously unclear.
