Relevance. Recently education reform requires modern, oriented to constant alternation, inclusive any education methods and forms, to consider qualities of children at the maximum. The varied view to childhood and to child quickened the reconstruction of inevitable education content. The most important step was made when the law of education and science of LR minister had been confirmed “For the Schedule of Criteria of Preschool Education Programs” (LR MES 2005 April 18 law No. ISAK-627), which changed the content of preschool education essentially. The content of education is more oriented to child, makes the quality of education certain and provides better conditions to each child to develop according to individualized education program. Object: The Importance of Individualized Education Program to Education of Preschool Children. Aim – to investigate the importance of individualized education program to education of preschool children. Methods: the analysis of scientific literature; the questionnaire made for educators of preschool education and parents, whose children are attending the preschool institution; the processing of the collected data by using Microsoft Excel program. 24 educators of preschool education and 76 parents, whose children are attending the preschool institution, participated in the research. The research was made in the preschool education institution of Siauliai city. The research results showed that the individualized education program is important to preschool children because it provides better conditions to education of each child; fulfils the needs, the interests, and the possibilities of children and reveals their progress, hobbies and abilities. The given recommendations would help educators to pay more attention to the importance of individualized education program to education of preschool children.
