Kelių transporto infrastruktūros finansavimas Lietuvoje: problemų ir tobulinimo galimybių analizė /

The analysis of Lithuanian road structure and state and the system of financing of Lithuanian road infrastructure are presented in the theoretical part of the Bachelor’s Thesis; the legal regulation and management of road infrastructure and the importance of road infrastructure for the economical system are analyzed basing upon Lithuanian and foreign authors. The road infrastructure has direct and indirect influence upon economy; therefore, enough funds should be assigned in order to guarantee its proper development and maintenance. However, not enough funds are assigned for road financing and the present system of financing is not efficient due to problems arising in this field. After analyzing the system of road financing the main problems were determined. These problems disturb guaranteeing the rational distribution of funds and assimilation of investments for roads: the deficiency and unevenness of financing, inefficient system of road taxation, not rational distribution of fund of the Road Maintenance and Development Programme (RMDP) for roads of Republic and local importance and state regions. The advices concerning the way of improvement of financing system of road infrastructure in future are given. The research results have proven that it is possible to collect greater income into the Road Maintenance and Development Programme (RMDP) and change the present system of taxation into more efficient one.
