Statutinių pareigūnų sportinės veiklos skatinimo galimybės: atvejo analizė /

The topical issue of this research is turning of sports activities into an object of culture and social environment, and the influence of subdivisions under the Ministry of the Interior to the community life through prevention programs and sports activities. The object of the research – sports activities of police and local community in the project “Safe neighbourhood”. The aim of the research – to investigate the opportunities of sports stimulation of police officers in the project „Let‘s create safe environment together“and suggest ways to improve it. The objectives of the research – to analyze scientifically-methodical literature related to sports activities in subdivisions under the Ministry of the Interior and creating a safe environment in institutions of local administration; to search for links between prevention programs and sports activities; to carry out an empirical research employing questionnaires; to identify the opportunities and impediments of sports stimulation of police officers in the project „Let‘s create safe environment together“; to summarize findings, to draw conclusions and to present recommendations. Organization of the research work: the research was divided into two stages: the scientifically-methodical literature related to the research question was analyzed in the first stage; in the second stage the questionnaire was prepared. 56 police officers were questioned in March and April in 2013 in Radviliškis Police Commissariat.
