The object of the research – sports activities of police and local community in the project “Safe neighbourhood”. The aim of the research – to investigate the opportunities of sports stimulation of police officers in the project „Let‘s create safe environment together“and suggest ways to improve it. The objectives of the research – to analyze scientifically-methodical literature related to sports activities in subdivisions under the Ministry of the Interior and creating a safe environment in institutions of local administration; to search for links between prevention programs and sports activities; to carry out an empirical research employing questionnaires; to identify the opportunities and impediments of sports stimulation of police officers in the project „Let‘s create safe environment together“; to summarize findings, to draw conclusions and to present recommendations.
