Investigation of the ultrafast fiber and hybrid laser systems and their nonlinear wavelength conversion methods in the infrared spectral region /
Abstract
dc:descriptionNear-infrared and middle-infrared laser sources are desirable for nonlinear microscopy and sum-frequency generation spectroscopy. The main goal of this thesis was to create and improve the technologies and methods required for the development of effective and reliable laser sources operating in these spectral regions. The thesis consists of three main parts. In the first part, the broadband hybrid optically synchronized middle-infrared sum-frequency generation spectrometer is presented. In the second part, a frequency-locked mode-locked fiber oscillator dedicated for Ti:Sapphire based broadband sum-frequency generation spectroscopic systems is introduced. In the third part, the effective wavelength conversion method to near-infrared based on stimulated Raman amplification is demonstrated. The concept of an ultra-compact laser source that implements a GHz burst pump source, synchronous pumping, and oscillator repetition rate locking is also presented.
