Abstract
dc:descriptionContinuing education as a key element of lifelong learning becomes increasingly important in the modern globalized world as access to information is facilitated, and constantly upgraded digital methods of education strengthen their role in the university programs. The capabilities and the objectives of the system for the education of medical professionals have been dramatically changing and expanding following the creation of the latest generations of digital platforms, which provide, in real-time, highly up-to-date and comprehensive medical information in every area of medical science. Defining clear standards and learning sources that can be efficiently used in daily medical practice is among the priorities and challenges for all institutions in charge of regulating this dynamic area and for the medical professionals themselves. The continually increasing requirements of medical services' quality and safety require medical professionals to constantly improve their knowledge in the highly specialized areas of medical science and other medical professions, including medicines policy.
