Efficient pain control is among the top priorities of The Cancer Prevention Program of WHO (World Health Organization), along with prophylaxis, early diagnosis and treatment of oncological diseases. Pain must be treated effectively, which means efficient control and pain assessment. Assessing pain is vital for an adequate treatment strategy. Nurses play pivotal role in the delivery of healthcare for patients with oncological diseases living in pain. Nursing care extensively affects the patients’ quality The study aims at investigating the opinion of medical professionals working with cancer patients in order to determine the nurses’ role in pain management and outline the demand for continuing education regarding the quality of life guaranteed by the Standard of healthcare.
