Abstract
dc:description.abstractBurn injury is a severe form of trauma that causes changes in glucose metabolism. Glucose metabolism is controlled during early burn injury but later results in stress induced diabetes. We have shown that this is due to differential regulation of the insulin signaling pathway in the liver.
