Synechocystis 6803 cytochrome cM were purified and its physical and structural characteristics investigated. Highly purified cytochrome cM was obtained in oligomeric forms. Our spectroscopy data indicate that the 6th axial ligand for cytochrome cM is not likely to be Met residue.
