Analysis of the Indian Vegetable Seed Industry

Abstract

dc:description

The Indian seed sector has a tremendous potential to become an outsourcing base with respect to production, technology and services for the global companies. This is due to the large infrastructural research network, diversity of agro-climatic conditions, and relatively less expensive labor and technical manpower in India. The complementary mode of public/private partnership in seed R&D and marketing linkages are likely to continue which will support the seed system development for bringing the Indian agriculture to its epitome in near future.
