Abstract
dc:descriptionFinally, the flame front propagation in an adiabatic non-energetic channel is investigated. Specifically, the interaction of the flame front with the flow inside the channel is studied and the focus is to assess the thermal-expansion influence. It is found that thermal expansion enhances the burning inside the channel and its influence becomes more prominent in wider channels. Transverse flows induced near the flame front may affect the quenching behavior of the flame front in non-adiabatic channels.
