Characterization and Regulation of Bacteroides Mobilizable Transposons, NBUs
Abstract
dc:descriptionBacteroides MTns forms a heterogeneous group of elements with conserved functional regions. But the conserved region on different elements is different. This raises a possibility that Bacteroides MTns are modularly assembled. This speculation is supported by partial sequencing of NBU3. The sequence of one portion of NBU3 is identical to that of NBU2 integration region, but another portion of NBU3 has only scattered similarity to NBU2.
