Abstract
dc:descriptionWhile the Liber cronicarum had many potential uses, marginalia and other signs of use show that certain aspects of the Liber cronicarum inspired the most substantial reactions: its accounts of history and geography, its presentation of religious material, and its depiction of the Holy Roman emperors. While reading is an individual and ephemeral act, marginalia allow the recovery of certain aspects of early modern reading and an assessment of the reception of the Liber cronicarum.
