dc:description"In the conclusion of the dissertation, I corroborate this observation with the fact that poetry and love, in their Surrealist design, constitute the radical contrivance standing in for the lack of a logical, commensurable accord between male and female relations to the signifier of desire, to enjoyment. Whence the importance of what Lacan calls the ""other satisfaction,"" the one pertaining to the symptom. Since love is a symptom, and ""words are making love"" (Breton), writing about love implies writing with one's symptom. It is what I finally discern in Breton's Les vases communicants (Communicating Vessels) and The mad love (L'amour fou)."
