Finding a Voice: Rewriting Strategies in the Works of Maria Luisa Spaziani

Abstract

dc:description

"From this analysis the evolution of the author's feminist position emerges quite clearly. She uses her fiction to demonstrate the illusory nature of historical ""truth,"" and by creating new stories for women based on traditional narratives, Spaziani shows that women's writing is indeed a valid representation of the female historical experience, and is, in essence, an alternate truth."
