The Relationship of Gender, Race, and Social Class to Leisure Constraints
Abstract
dc:descriptionOn the basis of these two scales, the multiple hierarchy perspective was not supported. The low income Black female was not significantly more constrained than the upper income White male. Based upon the results of this study, it can be inferred that leisure constraints are very complex in nature and further, that the scales that have been developed to measure the construct may not be appropriate for all subgroups of society.
