SOC*QUAL: The Development of a Scale to Measure a Societal Dimension

The current study examined various psychometric properties in order to develop a valid and reliable scale assessing the domains of a societal dimension; and the results provided a certain confidence for the SOC*QUAL scale. The development and testing of this scale represents the major contribution of the current study. In addition, the results also suggest that the efforts to address the societal concern resolved in the SOC*QUAL scale, have a certain relationship with several external measures. Given that the current study is the first attempt to develop the scale measuring the full spectrum of a societal dimension, the current study finally suggests a further effort to test the proposed scale in various settings in order to generalize the research findings of the current study.
