The Origin and Development of the Australian Winds

Abstract

dc:description

Evidence for the study was garnered from personal interviews of former and current members, guest conductors, and Australian Winds personnel as well as a review of primary source documents. The impact of the Australian Winds on the fledgling Australian band movement has yet to be determined. Further research in Australian music education and the history of the Australian band movement was recommended.
