dc:descriptionIn this monograph I introduce informal economies in macroeconomic models to study the following issues: (i) How should governments conduct monetary and fiscal policies in the presence of the shadow economy? (ii) How do labor market policies, regulations and mandated benefits affect the size of the shadow economy, productivity and welfare?
