Electronic Commerce in Business -to -Business Procurement: The Effects on Organizations

Abstract

dc:description

The results of the experiment can be summarized in a simple statement; while organizations do adjust to the changing environment of EC, they do so in a manner that does not radically change the structure of interactions between businesses. Businesses still deal one-on-one and they also continue to use Intermediaries. Market-spaces are used but they end up looking like Intermediaries. The number of suppliers utilized by a buyer does not radically increase; in fact, it may even shrink.
