Magnetic Resonance Imaging by Populations in the Presence of Molecular Diffusion
Abstract
dc:descriptionThis work makes extensive use of relaxation theories (chapters 2 through 4) and numerical simulations (chapters 3 and 4) to delineate the physical basis of MRI by populations and predict enhancements of performance. Chapters 3 and 4 predict the resolution of the method for ideal spatial geometries. Chapter 5 predicts the attainable sensitivity. In chapter 6, dimensional analysis provides qualitative predictions to facilitate the development of experimental implementations.
