Sizing of Members in the Fully Stressed Design of Frame Structures
Abstract
dc:descriptionAlthough a new method for finding fully-stressed designs is presented, the focus of the study is on the existence, quantity, and proportions of fully-stressed designs for frame structures. The effect that the ratios of lateral load to gravity load and story height to bay width have on the fully-stressed design process will be investigated. Additionally, the effect that cross-sectional form factor and buckling model have on the fully-stressed design process will be studied.
