Residence Time Distributions in Constructed Wetlands and Their Application to Modeling Nitrate Removal
Abstract
dc:descriptionNitrate was used as a on-conservative compound along with a conservative compound to assess mass transport at the soil-water interface. Calibration of these tests yielded nitrate mass transfer coefficients. Even though no particular trend was observed for the nitrate mass transfer coefficients, the values obtained were well within values that were calculated in this research from experimental data elsewhere.
