On the Effect of Hydrogen on the Mechanical Behavior of Beta-C Titanium in Aged Condition

Abstract

dc:description

The cyclic stress strain behavior was not affected by hydrogen; the non-linear elastic behavior and the cyclic softening did not change with introduction of hydrogen up to a level of 10.8 at%. The fatigue life was, however, reduced when hydrogen charged samples were tested at low frequency (0.00032 Hz).
