Adaptive Disk Striping for Parallel Input/output

Abstract

dc:description

Experimental results verified the accuracy of the developed analytical model in estimating and explaining disk striping performance. Also, experiments with artificial benchmarks and scientific applications showed that, depending on the access pattern, adaptive striping can significantly improve input/output performance compared to striping with fixed value parameters.
