Abstract
dc:descriptionThe results of the design and development of RTM are presented in three parts. First, the various models (task-graph, real-time macro data-flow, and an object-oriented abstract implementation model) are presented, as are the relationships among the models. Second, the RTM language (an annotated C++) and virtual machine are described in detail. Third, a prototype implementational using a Intel 486/DX50 running the Mach operating system as a basis, is described. Appendices present sample RTM language to C++ translations and performance evaluations of the prototype system.
