Four-Wave Mixing in Distributed-Feedback Semiconductor Lasers
Abstract
dc:descriptionFinally, we present measurements of dual-pump four-wave mixing in distributed-feedback lasers with two lasing modes for both the parallel and orthogonally polarizations. For the parallel case, we develop a comprehensive model for dual-pump four-wave mixing. The experiments show that the conversion efficiency has no fundamental dependence on the pump separation. Also, for probe detunings on the order of the pump separation, we observe a large resonance for several of the generated conjugates. The model explains each of these phenomena very well.
