Phone Confusion Analysis and Its Applications
Abstract
dc:descriptionFinding noise-robust perceptual features was the motivation for the quantitative confusion analysis developed in this study, but it is not the only application. Confusion analysis has a wide range of human and machine related applications. Three such applications for hearing impaired listeners, children with reading disabilities, and automatic speech recognizers were successfully explored in this research.
