Abstract
dc:descriptionFinally, a fully functional integrated lab-on-a-chip system is presented in the last chapter. This device is composed of microfluidic channels, valves, mixers, and liquid presence sensors. The device is tailored to perform a cell lyses protocol. This involves precise metering and transportation of biological reagents which was achieved through a number of microfluidic channels, valves, and liquid presence sensor. The chip also house a number of microfluidic mixers that can be activated on-demand. The design, fabrication, and demonstration of the chip are presented.
