Perceptions From a Select Sample of Rural, East-Central Illinois, High School Social Studies Teachers on Their Role as Values Educators

dc:description"Related to pedagogical style, members of the sample do not perceive their treatment of values to be different from that of other social studies educators. That is to say that, these social studies educators tend to utilize an open-ended approach, and they gravitate toward allowing their student clientele to freely choose and integrate their values. In addition, the treatment of values by the sample does not appear to hinge on the type of value, as evidenced by these teachers' inability to clearly differentiate between ""values"" and ""moral values."""
