Thinking Critically About the Message of the Media: Female Images and Roles
Abstract
dc:descriptionParticipants' comments and perspectives were compared by the researcher. Positive interactions with peers served as a stimulus for involvement in the learning process. A classroom climate, based on mutual respect and value sharing, helped produce gratifying interpersonal relationships between students and peers and between students and teacher. The results of this limited study are supported by earlier research on how settings affect classroom talk, adolescent concerns and worries about body image and weight, and perceptions about sexuality.
