Facilitating Middle Level School Change: A Study of a Network's Role
Abstract
dc:descriptionResults of the study indicated that network membership was perceived as beneficial and instrumental in helping the schools change practices. Network affiliation and services helped teachers learn about and begin to practice the middle level components of interdisciplinary teaching teams, advisement and integrated curriculum. The network provided emotional support and increased the teachers' sense of professionalism as they continued to be involved in the network.
