One Stage of Therapist Development: A Longitudinal Study of Interns

Abstract

dc:description

Most of the previous models of trainee development were supported, however a problem was noted: the interns by the end of the year had reached the final stages of most models. This does not leave them any room to grow during the rest of their professional lives. Only the Skovholt and Ronnestad (1992) model allows for more growth. Further work should focus on the stages beyond the internship year, using this model to guide the development of surveys.
