Re-Engineering a Movement: Reclaiming Youth at Risk. An Assessment of Selected Outcomes of Community Service Learning Experiences in an Urban High School
Abstract
dc:descriptionThe findings of the study indicated that students who were involved in the experiential community service-learning program demonstrated positive and significant gains in the following areas: planning and career exploration behaviors, responsive attitudes toward others, competence to act upon the feeling of concern for others, feelings of self-esteem and personal adequacy in social situations, and school attendance and acceptable school behaviors.
