Why Teachers Teach in Alternative Education Programs
Abstract
dc:descriptionDescriptive portraits of the alternative education teachers and the programs in which they choose to teach are included in the study. The data gathered from the surveys and interviews was analyzed to allow themes to emerge to answer the research questions. Portraits of eight alternative education teachers were written based on data from the in-depth interviews that were conducted. The portraits tell the stories of the alternative education program teachers and why they choose to teach in alternative education programs.
